Costumer Testimonials
Having began with an X9 I was disappointed with the slow time to first fix (could take from 5 minutes to by no means!) and the lack of accuracy of the track. The X10 is a big step forward - normally fixed within a couple of minutes and track accuracy considerably improved (even though can nonetheless suffer below tree canopy).
Battery life acceptable - so far with occasional GPS use (once or twice a week)have not had to charge it other than connection to the Computer to download tracks. Some have complained about visibility of time and display but I have had no serious issues.
Waterproofing tends to make it excellent for outdoor activity and tracking your position. Expensive but a GPS unit I can use.
A extremely beneficial device but it has a handful of flaws:
1. The GPS can take over ten minutes to get a fix (if it even manages at all). My GlobalSat BT-338 is substantially quicker.
2. Even though it is set to record points every single second, it truly records every single ten seconds.
three. The finish is inclined to chip and peel, particularly round the face of the watch.
Even though it is much more convenient than lugging a PDA and bluetooth GPS receiver around with me when I go out for a walk, it is by no means a replacement for my Palm THaving said that, it is a especially handy backup when the Palm's battery runs out or I leave the bluetooth receiver at home.
I also really feel that far better use could be produced of the barometer. The ambiguous "climate alarm" is little more than a random alert that seems to have no bearing on something in true life.
I have not yet been in a position to drain the battery, which is 1 region exactly where I am impressed (so far).
